Eric Sloan
Eric Sloan is the co-founder and a principal who focuses on public policy, public relations and economic development for clients across Arizona. For more than 15 years, Eric has been on the forefront of helping to shape public policy in Arizona.
Prior to establishing SLOAN LYONS Public Affairs, Eric worked at Arizona State University in the Office of Public Affairs where he was the State and County Government Liaison and the Executive on Loan to the Maricopa County Manager. Eric also served as the Director of Government and Media Relations for the Arizona Department of Veterans’ Services, where he advocated for legislation related to veteran issues and benefits. Eric’s analytical and advocacy skills have allowed him to work as a Presidential Intern at the American Red Cross Headquarters in Washington D.C., as a Governor’s Y.E.S. Ambassador for the Points of Light Foundation, and as the Chief of Public Policy and Government Affairs for the Arizona Department of Gaming.
Eric has served as a member of the KAET boards of directors and the Scottsdale Industrial Development Authority and is a member of the Blue Blazers for Fighter Country Partnership supporting the men, women, and families at Luke Air Force Base.
His support of local charities includes previous board of director positions for Valley Leadership, Ronald McDonald House Charities, Maryvale YMCA, Valley Partnership, and Sister Cities. Eric is a proud graduate of Valley Leadership Class 28, Arizona State University Devils Advocates, and the American Management Association Operation Enterprise Columbia Program, and is honored to be recognized as the first Luke Air Force Base Honorary Commander Chief.
